Seeking Apricity: New Work by Ruth Easterbrook
Winter can feel bleak and lonely. We alleviate this melancholy by embracing apricity or the warmth of winter light. Like the uplifting effects of sunlight in deep winter, Easterbrook’s pots add brightness to one's home and daily life. Seeking Apricity is a reminder of the seeds we can't see preparing to be spring flowers, the simple pleasures of comfort food or lighting candles creating a "mood", and how we can bring radiance to a dark time.
Easterbrook is an artist based out of Philadelphia. She earned her MFA from New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University and her BFA from Syracuse University. She has shown her work across the United States.
